The President is Nigeria’s Most Cyberstalked man

I am personally excited about the kick-off to the new English Premier League season. Team Nigeria as usual has not given us much to smile at as we hope for a psychological distraction from Nigerian issues (Economic and Political) during this season of Olympics. Anyways, congratulations to Fiji on their first Gold medal. Thumps up also to the Under-23 football team that is thriving despite the odds.

Last week’s article via this column drew a lot of calls, texts and even flashes. We spoke, we disagreed, we agreed and we became friends. Above all, I would want to say a big well-done to the CBN governor for clarifying the issue of dollar sale as pertaining the pilgrims going for the Hajj, this has calmed a lot of frayed nerves in a depressed economy that is in dire need of that same dollar to keep their businesses and households afloat.

Thank you Sir

I would also want to say a big thank you to the Chairman and Editor-In-Chief of Leadership Newspapers – Sam Nda-Isaiah for the opportunity of this platform (Leadership Newspaper) to freely and professionally express my view without fear or favour. My perception about the APC chieftain was that everything on his paper would always be regulated to favour the APC government. My perception changed when I began to write and sometimes accurately stand against Mr. President of whom I am an admirer. Sam Nda-Isaiah has chosen to let sound argument and reasoning to be the integral lifestream of the most influential newspaper in this country – Leadership Newspaper.

Even the President is Cyberstalked

I read that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested a blogger for Cyber stalking. Cyber stalking who? Cyber stalking I understand means online stalking or online harassment of a person or organisation. Who is this person? Magu? Unconfirmed Magu? Acting chairman Magu? Sir Magu? Wonders shall never end. Oga Magu chose to be the judge in his own alleged case of cyber stalking. Jurisdiction or no jurisdiction, the police would have been a better judge on this except if your case lacked merit and you chose to be judge.

Come to think of it, if what you called cyber stalking is what we saw on Abubakar Usman’s blog, then the President would be the most cyber stalked man in Nigeria with hundreds of bloggers in jail awaiting trial. You were not elected so what can we say. Sir Magu, my last word on this is that… the best friend you can keep in times like this is the press (traditional and online) because when those elected goons (even Mr. President) turn their backs on you, we would truthfully stand with you. Ask Professor Attahiru Jega (Even when PDP and co. rose against him, the public including the Press stood with him).

Is Jibrin eventually walking alone?

As much as a majority of the distressed public love the rhetoric and social media tantrums of Abdulmumin Jibrin against Dogara and partners. It is not news that this same Honourable Jibrin is trying to save his person through the courts from getting arrested by the police and also from getting suspended from the House. Come to think of it… Is Hon. Jibrin eventually walking alone? A man who bragged to have 200 plus members on his side to oust Dogara if he dares reconvene anytime soon which he confidently requested for.

Now that the Executive has taken the side of Dogara saying “Hey. Jibrin, that budget wasn’t padded”. Jibrin cried to see daddy Buhari and then said the cabal ensured he didn’t meet Daddy. This same daddy (GCFR) whose party (APC) Jibrin disobeyed? The real questions here are… Would Nigerians believe the Speaker and partners? Would Nigerians believe this same executive they believe is making them suffer? True or not true, lie or not lie, Padded or not padded, it’s not about believability anymore for them but party unity.

An allegiance call has been made and I don’t think any Honourable would love to be a Jibrin citizen at the moment but follow the blues of Dogara and the special one.

What an Irony!
